Intern funded by ORNL’s Center for Structural Molecular Biology a finalist in annual Ignite Off competition

Jacob Sumner, a post-baccalaureate intern at ORNL funded by the Center for Structural Molecular Biology, was a finalist in the 2020 Ignite Off competition for his capsule talk titled “Protein shape reconstruction with neutron scattering and computational tools.” The competition, hosted by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE), showcases the talents of interns from Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Argonne National Laboratory, and the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). Interns share their research through Ignite Talks, five-minute presentations in which the speaker uses 20 picture-centric slides that automatically advance every 15 seconds.
